Assistance League Chapters

Assistance League is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to putting caring and commitment into action through community-based philanthopic programs.  With more than 119 chapters and guilds, Assistance League volunteers are vital contributors to their individual communities and have developed over 750 philanthropic programs to assist children, seniors, families and those in need.

Established in Los Angeles in the early 1890's, Assistance League was the first nonprofit organization begun in the West to reconize the potential of volunteers in helping those less fortunate to a better, more meaningful life.

Today, this 100% volunteer-driven organization is a network of individually linked chapters bound by a strong central cause and vision to empower volunteers to make lasting change.  Creating joy, sharing what we have for the betterment of humankind, bringing hope to the lost, clothes to children without them and a smile to a lonely senior....this is what life is really about - this is what Assistance League is about.
