Tuesday 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Giving Tuesday<\/h2>\n<p>Giving Tuesday is a global initiative launched in 2012 that encourages people to donate their time and money to charitable causes on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p>The Assistance League of Albuquerque (ALA) has identified each year one of their Philanthropic Programs to be the recipient of a Giving Tuesday campaign.\u00a0 Below are ALA\u2019s programs for the past three years and the generous donations they received from this campaign.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2019 \u2013 Healthcare for the Homeless and Silver Horizons &#8211; $2,000<\/li>\n<li>2020 \u2013 Kids are Pretty Special (KAPS) &#8211; $4,216<\/li>\n<li>2021 \u2013 Buddy Bears &#8211; $2,329<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year ALA is dedicating Giving Tuesday to their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/albuquerque\/scholarship\/\">Scholarship Program<\/a>.\u00a0 The Scholarship Program began in 2021 awarding two scholarships to students at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) in the Trades Division, Applied Technologies Department.\u00a0 Each scholarship is for $4,500 to an eligible student who has completed two of the five terms for graduation with a 3.5 grade point average or better.<\/p>\n<p>ALA\u2019s Giving Tuesday campaign goal this year is to award an additional scholarship to a deserving CNM student.\u00a0 With your generous donation we are confident that we will reach our $4,500 goal and be able to give an additional student an opportunity to complete their education at
