The award is named for the co-founder of Assistance League, Ada Edwards Laughlin, who was less visible and filled the role of hardworking \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d assistant to Anne Banning.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s recipient of the 2022-2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/amador-valley\/about-us\/ada-edwards-laughlin-award\/\">Ada Edwards Laughlin Award<\/a> is Marti Vattuone.\u00a0 <!--more-->She has been:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Member of Assistance League of Amador Valley for many years \u2013 check!<\/li>\n<li>Chair of our Birthday Bags program<\/li>\n<li>Active in all of our fundraising activities, serving on the committees for both the Crab Feast and the Mad Hatter\u2019s Tea Party every year<\/li>\n<li>Instrumental in getting our Melo\u2019s Dining Out Fundraiser up and running<\/li>\n<li>Served on our inaugural Scholarship Committee<\/li>\n<li>Served as the Livermore School District representative for our Foster Kids Program<\/li>\n<li>Sssisted in almost all of our philanthropic programs throughout the years<\/li>\n<li>Hardworking, she is! &#8211; check!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you Marti!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Award recipients are chapter members who have been a member for a significant number of years and have given outstanding \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d service.
