It is 100% member volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving our community, through hands on involvement and innovative programs. Assistance League of Arcadia welcomes adults of diverse backgrounds, ages, gender, ethnicity, religion, and occupation.\u00a0\u00a0Our philanthropic programs touch the lives of children, families, and seniors in the San Gabriel Valley without regard to age, gender, ethnicity, religion, physical or mental ability. We rely on the hands-on involvement from our volunteer members to organize and staff our programs.<\/p>\n

All funds raised by our chapter go directly back into the San Gabriel Valley communities we serve.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1954, we became the 22nd<\/span> chapter of National Assistance League.\u00a0\u00a0We currently have over 300 chapter and auxiliary members of diverse backgrounds, ages and occupations who donate over 23,000 service hours. Through thrift shop sales we fund the chapter\u2019s numerous community service programs serving over 20,000 people and raising over $200,000. We presently serve schools and communities of Alhambra, Arcadia, Duarte, \u00a0Monrovia, \u00a0Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel and Temple City.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Who We Are Nationally<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

Assistance League has a network of more than 120 chapters stretching across the country; bound by a strong central cause and vision to empower volunteers to make lasting change in our communities.<\/p>\n

Unlike most national charities, National Assistance League’s focus is on local chapter needs first.\u00a0\u00a0Assistance League actually helps their volunteers realize their vision for their communities.\u00a0\u00a0All funds they raise stay in those individual communities.\u00a0\u00a0So their dreams become our dreams.\u00a0\u00a0Together we help people in need achieve a better quality of life.<\/p>\n
