Chez No\u00ebl<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Chez No\u00ebl Holiday Home Tour is the signature annual fundraising event for Assistance League of Bakersfield. It is held on the first Friday and Saturday of December. This fundraiser has been held for 24 years and it has become an anticipated event in the community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Three local spectacularly decorated homes are selected to showcase. These homes are beautiful in their own right but are also lavishly decorated for the Christmas season. Ticket holders have the privilege to enter these homes and view all the special touches and care each homeowner has created in transforming their home for the holidays.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ticket purchase includes entry to the docent-led tours of homes as well as entrance to the Chez No\u00ebl Boutique, held in the chapter meeting room. Vendors from the community offer Christmas items, jewelry, clothing, specialty items, and our very own member-made pomegranate jelly, peanut brittle, and English toffee. Also, our community partner, Starbucks, provides coffee and a snack.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Assistance League of Bakersfield’s Bargain Box Thrift Store is decorated for the season, with a fully stocked store of wonderful items for sale. The Boutique and thrift store is at the same location, making this an all-day event.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bargain Box Thrift Shop Donations<\/span><\/h3>\n

Clothe-A-Child Fundraiser<\/span><\/h3>\n

Each spring, Assistance League of Bakersfield sponsors Clothe-A-Child, a fundraiser by mail, asking for donations to buy new clothes for disadvantaged children in grades kindergarten through sixth. The clothes purchased are distributed through Operation School Bell\u00ae.<\/sup><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n
