Operation School Bell\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0in House<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Operation School Bell provides new clothing, shoe vouchers and hygiene kits to students in the Bakersfield\/Kern County area who wear uniforms. Students are referred to Assistance League by the school districts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Operation Hugs provides teddy bears for traumatized children.\u00a0\u00a0These teddy bears are distributed to California Highway Patrol, Bakersfield Fire Department, Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial, and San Joaquin Hospitals, who in turn give them to children in stressful situations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Operation School Bell\u00ae <\/sup>in Store<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This program is for students who do not wear uniforms. This program began in August 2015 in cooperation with Target Stores. \u00a0 It is an alternative way to dress students in regular clothing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Operation Scholarship<\/h4>\n

The Assistance League of Bakersfield Scholarship Program, Operation Scholarship, is funded by designated and undesignated memorial funds.
