These students raise funds to support the philanthropic programs and gain community service hours for their efforts.<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The goals of the Assisteens are the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Develop an awareness of the needs of others<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Promote community service and community responsibility<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Develop and foster leadership and self-reliance, personal responsibility with strong ethics and values<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Develop lasting friendships<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Introduce new experiences to stimulate intellectual growth and cultural appreciation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"modbody\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><br \/>\nObligation:<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">To attend eight (8) regular meetings (first Saturday 9:00 a.m.-12 noon September through May, except December).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Attend additional Board and\/or committee meetings as necessary.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Solicit and collect items for the Yearly Rummage Drive.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Participate in the Holiday Fundraiser, Chez No\u00ebl, first weekend in December, four-hour shift.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Annual Fundraiser, participate by purchasing one ticket and a four-hour work requirement.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1479922843732{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}&#8221;][vc_images_carousel images=&#8221;3473,3312,6884,6885,6886,6888,6889,6890,6891,6892,6893&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; slides_per_view=&#8221;6&#8243; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column el_class=&#8221;Assisteens helped prepare teddy bears for Operation Hugs.&#8221;][vc_separator][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\">Contact Us<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:membership@alofbak.org\">membership@alofbak.org<\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> (661) 323-0838<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Assisteens\u00ae is an auxiliary member group consisting of high school students in grades 9 through 12.
