Assistance League of the Bay Area Wraps Up Legacy of Literacy Initiative at Houston Camp Read S’More

Assistance League of the Bay Area wrapped up their efforts with Assistance League’s Legacy of Literacy initiative.

President-Elect Sarah Foulds joins Enedina Jasso, Bay Area Project Manager, Literacy Advance of Houston Camp Read S’More.

Legacy of Literacy launched on October 31, 2017 and concluded in mid-March, 2018.  Participation in 13 events allowed over 1,000 students to be impacted.  Approximately 1,960 books were distributed with 125 volunteers amassing 530 service hours.

The chapter is thrilled with the outcome and believes the mission, of putting more books in the hands of children who may not otherwise have access to them, was accomplished.
