On Tuesday, July 9, Beverly Braden, 2018-2019 Grants Chairman, and Sarah Foulds, 2019-2020 Grants Vice Chairman, attended, what they thought was a meeting with the TEGNA Foundation.

What happened instead was a surprise appearance on Great Day Houston, and a receipt of an $11,000 grant.

The chapter is excited to be one of the eight nonprofits in Houston who received this generous donation!

Robert Springer, KHOU’s General Manager, said his station dedicates efforts towards helping the under-served youth in the greater Houston area. Eight organizations received funding out of 150 applications submitted, a testament to the value of our programs and the dedication of our members.
