Assisteens Gather to Work on Philanthropic Programs

On two Sunday afternoons, October 25 and November 15, after the virtual membership meeting, small groups of Assisteens® gathered at their in-person meeting facility, Saint Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church of Nassau Bay, to assemble a variety of items for their independently-managed philanthropic programs.

Socially distanced, and led by Vice Chairman Philanthropic Programs Thomas Jennische, they created and colored birthday cards for the residents in the memory care unit at Heartis Senior Living Clear Lake, assembled dog and cat adoption kits for League City Pets Alive, filled goodie bags of Halloween candy and created fleece blankets for the youngest residents at the Bay Area Turning Point shelter, and prepared a birthday bag for students at identified campuses.

These amazing Assisteens continue to be creative and re-imagine the vision of the chapter – to transform lives and strengthen the community.
