Assistance League of the Bay Area Support Sexual Assault Awareness Month through Partnerships

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is an annual campaign to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.

Assistance League® of the Bay Area is proud to work with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE), hospitals, and police departments through the Assault Survivor Kits® philanthropic program.

Kits are assembled by committee volunteers, containing the necessary items for a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault, to leave their examination with dignity intact as their original items are often retained for evidentiary purposes.

Once the kits are completed, they are delivered to Bay Area Turning Point, The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc., Laporte Police Department, League City Police Department, or UTMB Health Galveston, depending on need and current inventory levels.
