Sewing equipment needed to make face masksWorking with Whatcom Unified Command, an Assistance League of Bellingham member donated a sewing machine which is now in use by the Lummi Nation to make cloth face masks. Assistance League members have provided 100 face masks to the Lummi Nation to kick start their efforts to protect their community.

We also recently provided 100 face masks to Meals on Wheels and 20 to the NW Regional Council.

We are very proud that 752 face masks made by Assistance League of Bellingham member “sewists” have been distributed in Whatcom County! Way to go, ladies…
