These scholarships are merit based; not based on financial need. \u00a0Receiving one not only helps make it possible for the recipient to attend an enriching summer program, but it can also be listed on future college applications, which is an important factor in today\u2019s competitive environment.<\/p>\n

My name is Erin Lin and I am a current freshman at Stanford University. I was a student at Fairhaven Middle School and Sehome High School and in those years, I received the Assistance League scholarship for summer programs and activities. I just wanted to send a message to you and the Assistance League of Bellingham to thank you for all the support and all that you do for the Bellingham community. Through the Enrichment Scholarship Program, Assistance League truly made it possible for me to follow my passions and dreams. Additionally, being able to have the financial support for summer programs helped make me a more competitive applicant for colleges, which has become quite necessary in today’s climate. I hope that you are able to pass this message along to the others that work at Assistance League. Thank you for all your support and what you do for Bellingham.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
