Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Financial Summary<\/strong><\/h2>\n

SUPPORT AND REVENUE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Generous contributions and grants provided $372,826 <\/strong>in support for Assistance League of Bend during fiscal year 2024-2025<\/strong>.  We held two fundraising events, Raise a Glass for the Kids and Dream Trip Raffle, which together raised $143,982<\/strong>.  Additional funds were provided by program services, membership, in-kind donations, and investment income. Thank you to our loyal donors, members and volunteers for providing total revenues of $1,019,112<\/strong> in funding to support the philanthropic activities of Assistance League of Bend.<\/p>\n

EXPENSES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Assistance League of Bend spent $748,992<\/strong> on philanthropic programs during fiscal year 2024-2025<\/strong>. This impressive return to the residents of Deschutes County was accomplished by our all-volunteer membership and community volunteers who donated 10,224<\/strong> service hours with an estimated value of over $355,693<\/strong>  Assistance League of Bend is committed to using the funds entrusted to us to fulfill its mission to transform the lives of children and adults through community programs.<\/p>\n

CHILDREN PROGRAM SERVICES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our  signature program Operation School Bell provided new clothing and shoes to 2,526 <\/strong>school aged children in grades K-12. This number also includes emergency clothing bundles to children in the foster care system. The bundles contained two changes of clothing, underwear, socks and pajamas. We distributed 2,156<\/strong> new books to children in grades K-12. Cinderella\u2019s Closet loaned new or gently used prom and homecoming dresses to high school students. Students were also able to borrow accessories like purses and shoes for the big event.<\/p>\n

ADULT PROGRAM SERVICES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our members and community volunteers made and donated 2,800 <\/strong>knitted and sewn hats, as well as “knitted knocker” prostheses and comfort shawls for patients undergoing chemotherapy. We also distributed the knitted hats to preemies\/newborns and the homeless. In addition, we provided holiday presents to 400<\/strong> seniors through our Secret Santa program, and provided hygiene items to 1,630<\/strong> low-income seniors in 17<\/strong> local care facilities. Over the course of the year, our volunteers also sent handwritten greeting cards to long-term care residents.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”11667″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=””][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n
