Then we invite you to join Assistance League of Bend.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Member-based, 100% volunteer, nonprofit organization<\/li>\n<li>Open to those who have the time and passion to volunteer (no minimum hours requirement)<\/li>\n<li>Choose to be involved with philanthropic programs and fundraising events that interest you and that would benefit from your special skills and talents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In fiscal year 2023-2024, Assistance League of Bend members and community volunteers donated 14,572 hours<\/strong> making a positive impact on our community.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Membership Levels and Requirements:<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4><b>Voting<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Encouraged to attend monthly luncheon\/business meetings<\/li>\n<li>Serve on one standing committee each year<\/li>\n<li>Participate in philanthropic programs and events<\/li>\n<li>Dues are $75 per year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Nonvoting<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to individuals who have been a member for at least two years<\/li>\n<li>May participate in philanthropic programs and events<\/li>\n<li>No requirement but may serve on a standing committee or attend monthly luncheon\/business meetings<\/li>\n<li>Dues are $100 per year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Prospective Member Process\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>Prospective members are introduced to the organization through an orientation and mentoring process that includes a tour of the Chapter House and one additional training session. Orientation classes are offered in August, October, February and May. We would appreciate if you could please take a moment to submit your hours <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.lglforms.com\/form_engine\/s\/i6N1jtoV5rcQgpSHLHHlMg\">HERE!<\/a> Service hours represent your time volunteered to help us accomplish our local and national goals of aiding those in need within Deschutes County.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to volunteer to help with our philanthropic programs or fundraising events but membership does not suit your needs, we invite you to become a community volunteer.\u00a0 Please send an email to <a href=\"mailto:info@assistanceleaguebend.org\">info@assistanceleaguebend.org<\/a>\u00a0 and let us know how you would like to be involved with Assistance League of Bend.<\/p>\n<p>Community members who volunteer at any public Assistance League of Bend event are required to submit an application for a background check and will be responsible for the cost. It will be valid for 3 years.<\/p>\n<p>This is a change in policy because our insurance company is requiring it of all members and nonmembers.
