This spring, Assistance League of Bend directed\u00a0several impactful initiatives to serve families throughout Deschutes County. We provided emergency clothing bundles\u00a0to children in\u00a0foster care, distributed new books to low-income students to promote literacy, and loaned formal wear to high school students.<\/p>\n
We also continued our important work supporting seniors by supplying hygiene kits to Medicaid recipients in long-term care facilities, and\u00a0lovingly knitting and sewing\u00a0hats for patients undergoing chemotherapy.<\/p>\n
