{"id":5950,"date":"2019-12-02T11:32:50","date_gmt":"2019-12-02T19:32:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/bend\/?p=5950"},"modified":"2019-12-08T21:09:40","modified_gmt":"2019-12-09T05:09:40","slug":"breakfast-with-santa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/bend\/2019\/12\/02\/breakfast-with-santa\/","title":{"rendered":"Breakfast with Santa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With over 230 guests at this year\u2019s 29<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Breakfast with Santa event, we\u2019d like to thank the following people\/businesses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pine Tavern\u2019s General Manager, Anthony, along with his remarkable team of chefs, servers, etc. The changes\/enhancements to their buffet menu (without increasing the price from last year) were very well received.<\/li>\n<li>Santa and Mrs. Claus (John and Kay Ashe) who continue to share the magic of Christmas with every child.<\/li>\n<li>Taylor Forsberg, Santa\u2019s special elf, who volunteered her time to share her incredible face painting skills with the children.<\/li>\n<li>Market of Choice for donating freshly baked Christmas shaped sugar cookies for our new cookie decorating station.<\/li>\n<li>Walmart in Bend for donating all of the icing and sprinkles for the cookie decorating station.<\/li>\n<li>Dakota Spencer at Dakota\u2019s Brick Shop in Bend who provided Lego kits at cost giving kids two toy options this year: Lego\u2019s and Mary Meyer stuffed animals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While there were many positive comments shared throughout the event, one patron went so far as to say \u201cit was magical\u201d. \u00a0Thanks to everyone who helped make this day such a heartfelt event and for keeping the \u201cmagic of Christmas\u201d very much alive in our little town of Bend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; With over 230 guests at this year\u2019s 29th Annual Breakfast with Santa event, we\u2019d like to thank the following people\/businesses: Pine Tavern\u2019s General Manager, Anthony, along with his remarkable team of chefs, servers, etc. The changes\/enhancements to their buffet menu (without increasing the price from last year) were very well received.
