Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati celebrated its 20th anniversary on September 26,2018. Cincinnati Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld read the proclamation proclaiming September 26 as Assistance League Day in Cincinnati. President Nancy Purcell and a room full of members and guests looked on and answered “whereas” in unison. Sharon Zamberlain, founding member and first president, introduced other founding members: Jan Stahl, Nancy Lewis, Ginger Sheer and Joan De Vendra. Also recognized were past presidents. Sharon went on to entertain us with a short history of our chapter including some unique fundraising that we all found delightful. She compared some numbers of children and adults served in Operation School Bell® and Hospital Services then and now. We have come a looooong way!
