Assistance League of Huntington Beach was honored on December 3rd at the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce Annual Business and Leadership Awards Luncheon. The chapter received the Robert Mayer Educational Partnership Award. This award is given every year to an individual or organization who has partnered with K-14 schools to improve the educational experience of students in Huntington Beach.

The award was based on partnerships Assistance League has with thirty-four elementary, middle and high schools, as well as Golden West College. These partnerships are what have made three of their key programs successful: Operation School Bell®, Links to Learning HB, and our Nursing Scholarship program. Through these three programs alone, the chapter gave back $268K over the past year to improve the lives of students in Huntington Beach.
