Operation School Bell® – Teen Retail

Building Teen Esteem

Students shopping at Teen Retail event

Teen Retail provides an opportunity for youth in need to purchase new school clothing in a retail environment.  This allows students to have a wider variety of choices and styles.

Through Teen Retail, we provide new school clothes to Ada County middle school and junior high students, meeting a very real need in our community.  These students deserve to have a positive school experience, and this is one way we can bring a sense of normalcy and excitement to their school year.

Making A Difference

Assistance League of Boise sponsors a shopping experience for Ada County middle and junior high students. Homeless high school students in need of new clothing and/or shoes also participate in this program. With help from school counselors, students are selected to participate in this after-school shopping event at a local retail store. Each student is allowed a specified amount to purchase appropriate school clothing.

“Thank you for the amazing service you provide for our students. The opportunity for them to be able to shop for new clothes is so special to them. I love to see all the students in their new outfits and shoes at school.”
— Megan, Counselor

Assistance League volunteers are on hand to check in and check out students, assist with finding the best deals in the store and to finalize purchases at the register.
