Each year, first time mothers-to-be who are active duty military women or the spouses of active duty military personnel stationed at the Twentynine Palms Marine Base are invited to a Baby Shower here in the Coachella Valley. Along with enjoying a luncheon, followed by entertainment, each mom-to-be receives carefully selected gifts to help them prepare for their new family additions. These items include layettes, a port-a-crib and more.

The shower is the chapter’s way of saying “thank you” to our military families.  Through this shower, support is offered for those who may be far from family and friends during an exciting yet challenging stage of their lives.

Military mothers-to-be arrive from the Twentynine Palms Marine Base.

Each first time mother-to-be receives a variety of “need to have” items, including a layette and port-a-crib.

“Babies Love to Read” was the theme of the 2017 Baby Shower. These fun centerpieces featured a diaper cake, book and other fun accessories.

Assistance League Coachella Valley chapter members enjoy spending time with mom-to-be. Moms were the honored guests at each table of this standing room only event.
