Assault Survivor Kits\u00ae originated in 1991 in Auburn, California where the kits were introduced by Lee Ann Greer who was a member of Assistance League\u00ae of Greater Placer after she saw a need in her community.<\/span><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Other chapters across the United States have successfully adopted this program including Assistance League Coachella Valley.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Kits of comfortable new clothing and personal care items are provided to survivors of assault when their clothing is retained by law enforcement as evidence.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Instead of wearing a hospital gown as they leave the medical facility – they can wear new clothing which we hope will provide some small measure of comfort to survivors.<\/span><\/h4>\n
