\nAssistance League of Denver is a member driven non-profit organization that is comprised of 300 multi-talented volunteers working together to meet our mission.\u00a0 Our teams contributed over 34,000 volunteer hours last year serving the Denver metropolitan community.\u00a0 Our philanthropic programs are designed and delivered by collaborating with our constituencies to make a positive and long lasting impact on the lives of students, families, and seniors.\u00a0 Sales in our Thrift Shop provide the primary source of funding for our programs.\u00a0 We are an affiliate of National Assistance League which gives us access to state of the art technology and superior training programs.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Membership is open to those who wish to be of service to our community and have the time, creativity, and passion to volunteer on a regular basis.\u00a0 Members participate in every aspect of our organization serving as volunteers in all of our programs, leading various teams, and serving on our Board of Directors.\u00a0 Members participate in the design of our philanthropic programs, vote on major initiatives, and may serve on administrative committees including membership, property management, finance, and bylaws among others.\u00a0 You can make a difference in your community by sharing your enthusiasm and extending a helping hand while making new friendships that will last a lifetime!\u00a0 Membership dues for voting members is $75.00 annually, plus a one-time orientation fee\u00a0 of $30.00\u00a0 The membership dues include $40.00 paid to the National organization and $35.00 retained by the chapter to support membership activities.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Community volunteers work side by side with our members to deliver services to our constituencies and to support our fundraising efforts.\u00a0 This volunteer opportunity is open to those who have time and energy to serve on an occasional basis, have a particular passion for one of our programs, or who want to serve through one and done projects.\u00a0 We welcome corporate participation in our community volunteer programs.<\/strong><\/p>\n
