The <strong>Assistance League<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> of Downey<\/strong> invites you to join us for our annual <strong>Casino Night<\/strong> on <strong>Saturday, May 2, 2026<\/strong>, featuring the exciting theme:<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Fiesta Casino Night!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This unforgettable event helps us fund our many philanthropic programs in Downey. To make this year\u2019s Casino Night truly extraordinary, we need the support of generous friends, families, and local business leaders like you. Your contributions make it possible for us to provide and administer vital, quality services for those in need throughout the Downey community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The following are some of our current programs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Operation School Bell<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> provides new school clothing, a grooming kit, and a school spirit shirt to students in need within the Downey Unified School District. These students are referred by their school, enabling them to arrive in the classroom better prepared to learn. This program also raises funds to help send children to science camp each year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>College Scholarship Program<\/strong> \u2013 Awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Downey, in recognition of their community service.<\/li>\n<li><strong>ACTION!
