This award demonstrates the importance and value of leadership to Assistance League chapters, while also honoring the accomplishments and dedication of the recipient. The attributes of a model recipient:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u2022 Has served in major leadership roles, providing enthusiasm and guidance while participating in chapter programs and activities;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u2022 Led in the creation of a new chapter program or initiative, or in the significant growth, modification, implementation or enhancement of a current chapter initiative<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u2022 Modeled personal commitment to the mission and values of the chapter;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u2022 Represented the chapter mission and values in the community<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">We were proud to present this award to 23 year member, Kathleen Geary, who exemplifies all those attributes. She has served on the board as VP Education Administration, President-elect, and President, as well as served on numerous task forces. Kathleen has been the chair of Literacy Enrichment, a puppeteer and chair of Kids on the Block\u00ae, a mentor for the Competencies for Independent Living program, a facilitator for cluster meetings, helped implement the youth auxiliary, Assisteens\u00ae, served on the Bylaws committee and acted as our Parliamentarian.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Wow!
