She and her husband Harold (the 2nd male member of ALGP and current VP Building Management) raised their daughters Rivah and Jessica in Eugene where Mary\u2019s 22 years with the City of Eugene included jobs as a minutes recorder, Human Rights analyst, and City Recorder. After retiring and moving to Portland to be closer to Rivah\u2019s family, Mary joined the Assistance League in 2021. She has enjoyed working in Consignment, writing Operation School Bell vouchers, serving as Secretary and President-elect, being a member of Membership, Governance, Building, and Inclusion committees, working with the Community Needs Program and Strategic Planning Committee, and attending as many meetings as possible in preparation for her current position.\u00a0 She especially loves connecting with so many caring and committed volunteers. Besides ALGP, Mary\u2019s other passions are spending time with family,\u00a0 traveling, cooking, hiking in Forest Park, and reading. She is honored and excited to be the chapter\u2019s 2025-26 President.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5213&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Linda Larson<\/h2>\n<h3>President Elect<\/h3>\n<p class=\"et_pb_member_position\">Linda was born and raised in Montreal and moved to Boulder, Colorado to get married. Linda has had several careers, the highlights of which are assistant manager in a large data center at Environment Canada where they were responsible for weather forecasting for the country.\u00a0 She worked in HR as employee Benefits Manager for a large hospital in Boulder and HR Director for a fast growing startup in Colorado Springs. It was there that Linda went to nursing school and had the opportunity to spend two hours in an operating room during her training.\u00a0 Linda knew at that moment that surgery was for her, and after spending 3 years in Switzerland with her family where she had wonderful work, lifestyle, and travel experiences, Linda and her family moved to Portland where she has spent the last 26 years and still counting working in surgery. Linda discovered Assistance League years ago when she began to consign some of her large jewelry collection and\u00a0 joined in 2019. &#8220;The longer I am involved with the League the more impressed I am with such a hard working and congenial group, whose efforts do everything to improve the lives of so many in our community&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5587&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_4 et_pb_column_10 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_team_member et_pb_team_member_1 clearfix et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<h2>JoAnn Quilala<\/h2>\n<h3>VP Marketing &amp; Communications<\/h3>\n<p>JoAnn graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology.\u00a0 She spent 24 years\u00a0as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.\u00a0 Her artistic inclination\u00a0&amp; love of clothes led her to a new careers\u00a0an Image Consultant\u00a0 She served on the board of the AICISF, Association of Image Consultants International San Francisco, for 2 years,\u00a0 Her clients were\u00a0men &amp; women who she helped design their wardrobe to fit their lifestyle, personality and careers.\u00a0 JoAnn, a California native, moved with her husband Joe, to Oregon 5 years ago to be with her youngest daughter, Audrey, who graduated from Portland State and never left.\u00a0 JoAnn is so grateful\u00a0 that she found the Assistance League in 2022.\u00a0 A newcomer to Oregon\u00a0she feels blessed to have found an organization devoted to serving the community that welcomed her with open arms.\u00a0 JoAnn uses her skills to outfit the mannequins\u00a0&amp; the Purple Tag wall with colorful &amp; intriguing ensembles that the volunteers and customers appreciate.\u00a0 This will be her first position on the board as VP of Marketing &amp; Communications.\u00a0 In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, sketching &amp; painting and spending time with her husband and two daughters.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4911&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Peggy Albertine<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"et_pb_member_position\">VP Philanthropic Programs<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>Peggy remains strongly committed to the mission of the Assistance League of Greater Portland and advocating for the needs of children suffering from poverty and homelessness.\u00a0 Now retired, she spent 39 years teaching young children in the Centennial School District including many immigrant families, where she developed a deep understanding of their struggles and needs.\u00a0 A 1976 graduate of Lewis and Clark College in Education, Peggy is the mother of three grown sons.\u00a0 In retirement, Peggy spends her time reading, gardening, walking in her Irvington neighborhood, traveling, supporting opportunities for women\u2019s education and reaching out with joy and care to everyone including her husband, Dave.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5585&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Linda Dunn<\/h2>\n<h3>VP Retail Sales<\/h3>\n<p>Linda is a native of Northern California and a Graduate of Brigham Young University (one of a few Catholics!) where she received her B.S.in Physical Education and Health.&nbsp; She married and became the trailing spouse of a university administrator. She has lived in Connecticut, Oregon, Utah, Illinois, Michigan, and now Oregon once again.&nbsp; During those years Linda served 10 years, 2007-2017, as the \u201cFirst Lady\u201d of Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. In addition, she was on the Boards of the Kalamazoo Symphony, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Kalamazoo Institute of Art (Permanent Collection Committee), Board member of the Gilmore Festival, WMU College of Fine Arts, and appointed member of Kalamazoo County Foster Care Review Board.&nbsp; Linda has been a member of Assistance League since the mid-80\u2019s, the first chapter in Corvallis.&nbsp; She served as the President of the Salt Lake Chapter as well as served as a member of the Resource Development Committee for the National Organization.&nbsp; She now serves as the Greater Portland\u2019s VP of Retail Sales.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5633&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_4 et_pb_column_11 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_team_member et_pb_team_member_2 clearfix et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_team_member_description\">\n<h2>Kathy Park<\/h2>\n<h3>VP Resource Development<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_4 et_pb_column_12 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_team_member et_pb_team_member_3 clearfix et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Kathy was born in Chicago and reared in Southern California.&nbsp;&nbsp; She and her twin are the eldest of 8 children.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; They had the makings of their own party whenever they were together!<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">After graduating from the University of California, Riverside, Kathy secured an MA in Urban Institutions and Systems Analysis from Claremont Graduate University.&nbsp;&nbsp; She has held positions in local California government.&nbsp; After marrying and moving to Oregon, she spent 10 years at AT&amp;T, as the Public Affairs and Public Relations Manager in Oregon.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Shortly after leaving the corporate world, she found her calling as a Fundraiser for non-profits.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; While she held positions as the Director of Development at the Opera, Shriners Hospital in Portland and the first VP for Fundraising for the Evergreen Aviation Museum, much of her career was in institutions of higher education.&nbsp;&nbsp; At the end of her career, she was VP for Advancement at Dominican University in California.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">After 30 years of fundraising, she retired in 2022.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Her experience with the Assistance League was successfully consigning jewelry and furniture items over many years; the interaction with the members who worked in Consignment made her feel very welcome.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Upon learning about the mission of the organization, and the programs which ALGP supports, it wasn\u2019t hard to identify that this is where she wanted to allocate some of her retirement time.&nbsp; She felt she had \u201cfound her tribe\u201d. Kathy became a member in 2023.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5207&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Harold Feldman<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"et_pb_member_position\">VP Building Management<\/h3>\n<p>About to celebrate a milestone 50<sup>th<\/sup><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">\u00a0anniversary\u00a0with wife Mary, Harold was inspired to join ALGPDX by witnessing its tremendously positive impact on the greater Portland community and the fulfillment experienced by so many of its dedicated volunteers. Retired from a career in financial services, Harold finds new opportunities to give back by tackling the challenge of maintaining the Chapter House and meeting the ongoing demands required to support its optimal utilization and safety. In his spare time, Harold cherishes family time , trips with Mary exploring fine wine regions both local and global, entertaining friends, volunteering at the Portland Japanese Garden, and the satisfaction of providing handyman repair services when needed.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4908&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Jane Murphy<\/h2>\n<h3>Treasurer<\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"markaq4fu1jt8\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Jane<\/span> graduated from Texas A&amp;M University, College Station, Texas, with a Bachelor&#8217;s of Business Administration in Accounting and received a Masters of Arts in Teaching&nbsp; in Secondary Education from Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon, with an emphasis in Business Education.&nbsp; Her career spanned 16 years in Accounting for Atlantic Richfield Company (Texas and Alaska) and Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes (Colorado and Oregon).<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">She began a new career at Central Catholic High School in 1993 as their Business Manager and then moved to the faculty side teaching Sports Marketing, Personal Finance, School Yearbook, and administering AP Exams and retired in 2018.&nbsp; She joined the Assistance League of Greater Portland in fall of 2022.&nbsp; Jane\u2018s first position on the board was as VP Marketing and Communications and now she is Treasurer.&nbsp; She enjoys traveling,&nbsp; cross-stitching, crochet and knitting.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3562&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_4 et_pb_column_9 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_team_member et_pb_team_member_0 clearfix et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_team_member_description\">\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Wyn Bowler<\/h2>\n<div class=\"et_pb_team_member_description\">\n<h3 class=\"et_pb_member_position\">VP Membership<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>Wyn is a native of upstate New York. A few years after earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan she arrived in Oregon. After being a student of parliamentary procedure for many years and serving as parliamentarian for an international non-profit educational organization, she decided to let it go \u2013 until joining ALGP and serving as chapter president and parliamentarian.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5210&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_4 et_pb_column_10 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_team_member et_pb_team_member_1 clearfix et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_team_member_description\">\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Peri Mahaley<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"et_pb_member_position\">VP Strategic Planning<\/h3>\n<div>Peri is relatively new to Oregon and the Assistance League of Greater Portland, but is already captivated by both. She holds Bachelor of Science and Law degrees from Georgetown University. She practiced law for 40 years in Washington, DC, focusing on commercial litigation and insurance coverage. As an attorney, she represented several nonprofit organizations, including on a pro bono basis, and she served on the Board of a community theater company. She looks forward to assisting the chapter to refine and implement its strategic vision. She loves retirement, especially her work at the chapter, spending time with her grown sons and two granddaughters, cuddling her adorable puppy Ziggy, and singing in a citywide a cappella choir.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5314&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">Jane Scott<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"et_pb_member_position\">Secretary<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>Jane graduated from the University of Oregon and began a career at San Francisco\u2019s Emporium as an assistant buyer. After she married, she moved to Portland, Oregon and continued in retail with Meier &amp; Frank as a buyer.\u00a0 When she took a break from paid work to raise a family, Jane volunteered in the schools where her children attended and ran a 350K nonprofit corporation. In 2001, she returned to school to pursue a graduate degree in Library Science and has spent the last 20+ years in librarianship. As Head of Public Services at both University of Portland and George Fox University she taught students about research and assisted faculty with theirs. Jane joined the Assistance League in 2023 and works in the Thrift Shop, on the Grants Committee, and recently became Secretary.
