New clothes and shoes can transform their confidence, foster a sense of belonging, and support their success in school.<\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner content_placement=&#8221;middle&#8221; gap=&#8221;20&#8243;][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Through our Operation School Bell Program, we serve Transitional Kindergarten through 6th-grade students at over 125 schools across seven San Diego County districts. Using data from the California Department of Education, we prioritize schools with high levels of low-income, homeless, and foster youth. We also assist children in enlisted military, immigrant\/refugee families, and those in the federal Migrant Education Program.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cStudents and parents are very happy every time the kids get new clothes. I\u2019ve heard comments that the kids sleep with their uniforms on because they didn\u2019t want to take them off. There are some kids that never get new clothes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u2014Community Schools Program Coordinator[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;7868&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1739199564440{padding-top: 2em !important;padding-right: 2em !important;padding-bottom: 2em !important;padding-left: 2em !important;background-color: #788ec8 !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221; el_class=&#8221;oswald-normal color-white&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Last year, Operation School Bell provided over 8,000 students across 160 local schools with new clothing and shoes- boosting their confidence, fostering a sense of belonging, and supporting their success in school.<\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner content_placement=&#8221;middle&#8221; gap=&#8221;20&#8243;][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Our support includes Target shopping events, bulk order deliveries, and emergency responses to disasters like fires or floods.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cYour program has been a great support for parents and the students feel more comfortable and confident with good, new clothes and shoes.
