Operation School Bell\u00ae<\/sup><\/h3>\n

Operation School Bell\u00a0is the national philanthropic program in which all Assistance League chapters take part. Children in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties receive new clothing, school supplies and books to enhance self-esteem, promote learning, and encourage regular school attendance.<\/p>\n

Slightly Off Key Stringalongs<\/h3>\n

Slightly Off Key Stringalongs is a ukulele, rhythm instrument and singing group of members who present music programs at assisted living and long-term care facilities in our community. Operation Seniors<\/h3>\n

Operation Seniors presents monthly social activities to seniors in some low-income retirement facilities. The programs include games, crafts, pizza parties, and music. \u00a0In addition, our chapter celebrates the Grandparents Support Network with various activities.<\/p>\n

The Kids on the Block<\/h3>\n

The Kids on the Block puppets teach children about disability awareness, learning differences, bullying, and other social issues, using 3-foot puppets that interact with children.
