Board of Directors, 2025 – 2026

The focus of the PSA is aimed at building awareness of our programs and volunteering. The image above is from the closing splash screen of the PSA.

Instrumental in bringing the PSA from concept to finished product are the following members and volunteers: Producers Chris Pelletier, Linda McColgan, Mary Monohon and Melvin Ah Ching. Special thanks to volunteer Lisa Davidson who wrote and edited the final script. Evern Williams of Olelo Community Relations and all the other people at that fine organization, who provided us with their technical expertise and airtime. Last but not least, a big mahalo to Hazel Sumile who became our on-air talent and the voice of Assistance League of Hawaii’s first video PSA.

That’s our vision, and guess what? We need your help to make it a reality!

Our membership committee is on an unstoppable mission to expand our community. They’ve poured their hearts into welcoming new faces and fostering connections, but they can’t do it alone. We need reinforcements!

This is where you come in. Do you have friends who share our passion for transforming the lives of children and adults through our community programs? Reach out! Spark a conversation about volunteering. Show them the joy of enriching our community, firsthand.

And if you’re brimming with ideas and enthusiasm, step up and join the fun! We’re planning some exciting membership events in the coming weeks. This is an ongoing campaign and we need your creativity and energy to make them unforgettable.

Member orientations are held every Saturday afternoon at the Thrift Shop. If you have interested friends or family, let them know to stop by the Thrift Shop from 12:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturdays. You can join as a community volunteer or a full member. Inquire at our Thrift Shop, or call us at 808 946-1505.
