If you park on the street and were taking advantage of the recent breakdown of the city&#8217;s 3G reliance for their parking meters&#8230; note this. <strong>Free parking is over<\/strong>. The city has come up with a solution that involves a new smartphone app. Users can now pay for parking using the smartphone app or pay in the traditional way, using COINS.<\/p>\n<p>We have a limited number of parking stalls in front of our Thrift Shop for customer use during business hours and days. Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>A press release from the city notified the media about the new parking option. Fees will remain the same.<\/p>\n<p>DTS in a news release said the phone app, called Park Smarter, is a mobile payment system for the on-street parking stalls on the island.<\/p>\n<p>The app only accepts credit card payments, and meters that can be paid through it will have Park Smarter stickers.<\/p>\n<p>The meters will still accept coins, DTS said.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TIME TO FEED THE METERS AGAIN: To all of our customers and members.
