Assistance League of Houston is celebrating a milestone! With your support of the 25th Annual Mary Jo Peckham Award Luncheon and Fashion Show, you will help thousands of young children and college students. The event is to be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at River Oaks Country Club. Underwriting levels are detailed in the attached form below. You will be recognized for your contribution in the invitation and program when we receive the enclosed completed form by July 15, 2016.
The Mary Jo Peckham luncheon benefits the philanthropic programs of Assistance League of Houston, and we are pleased to honor a trio of community volunteers, Leisa Holland-Nelson, Phyllis Holland, and Laura Max Rose. Our “Three Generations of Giving” ladies, proudly represent three generations of “Holland” girls and giving back to their communities. From Garden Club to the American Heart Association, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Goodwill, The Holocaust Museum, Houston, and Adult Literacy to supporting our great city and its growth and beautification, these women have consistently contributed time, energy and treasure. Phyllis and Leisa are native Houstonians, from many generations before them. Laura was born in New York City but got here as soon as she could! These women have no intention of stopping their efforts and as former neighbors and long-time friends of Mary Jo Peckham and her daughters, they are beyond thrilled to be receiving this award.
Liz Jameson, Ann Berry, and Leila Gilbert, daughters of the late Mary Jo Peckham, serve as honorary chairmen for the luncheon. Their mother was a founding member of Assistance League of Houston in 1966 and served in many capacities, including president. Jan Carson will be our Mistress of Ceremonies, and the event will feature the fabulous fashions of Elizabeth Anthony. The Mary Jo Peckham Award Luncheon and Fashion Show will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at River Oaks Country Club.
Assistance League of Houston has a long and distinguished history of service, returning more than $9 million to our community.
