Assistance League of Houston awards scholarships annually to students in participating schools who have financial need, including some with physical and learning disabilities, and who have demonstrated scholastic achievement. The scholarships are intended to encourage committed students to pursue their education through high school and beyond. Schools served during the 2017 school year include: The Briarwood School, Spring Branch Independent School District, Sharpstown High School, Yes Prep Public Schools, and Houston Community College’s VAST program. During the year ended May 31, 2018, 67 students received $120,745 in financial help from Assistance League of Houston and its named scholarships.
