These needs do not fit within currently existing programs and have to be addressed on a one-time-only basis. The program also allows the Outreach Committee to identify an array of critical issues facing the community for potential development of future stand-alone programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>2021-2022 Outreach Projects<\/h3>\n<p>In 2021-2022, Outreach donated scholarships or supplies to these organizations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$15,000 in scholarships to A Step Beyond<\/li>\n<li>$15,000 in Mobile Van supplies to San Diego Discovery Museum, Escondido location<\/li>\n<li>$13,930.58 in supplies to Next Step Service Dogs to be used for veteran&#8217;s and first responder&#8217;s dog teams<\/li>\n<li>$7,555.75 in culinary equipment to TERI&#8217;s San Marcos campus for special needs children and adults<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2020-2021 Outreach Projects<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2020-2021, Outreach supported the following projects:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$15,000 in Amazon gift cards to Urban Corps of San Diego County<\/li>\n<li>$16,000 in Knox Boxes to Escondido Fire Department<\/li>\n<li>$34,000 in Amazon, Walmart, Target and Visa gift cards to Palomar Health Foundation<br \/>\n&#8211; $20,000 to Healthy Development Services<br \/>\n&#8211; $14,000 to Forensic Services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An Assistance League member who chooses to participate in this program might do one or more of the following activities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meet with the Outreach committee to analyze requests<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Contact the organization regarding their application<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Supply answers as to why the project was chosen<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Oversee the donation process<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;5px&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5444&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5445&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]The program provides a flexible, rapid-response strategy by which Assistance League of Inland North County can respond to specific community needs.
