{"id":3527,"date":"2018-12-27T14:44:42","date_gmt":"2018-12-27T22:44:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/long-beach\/?page_id=3527"},"modified":"2019-03-17T22:20:25","modified_gmt":"2019-03-18T05:20:25","slug":"donors-privacy-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/long-beach\/policies\/donors-privacy-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Donors Privacy Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/ueqg1rypuhstih6\/LongBeach_3color_125Wx114H_300dpi.jpg?raw=1\" \/><\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>DO<\/strong><strong>N<\/strong><strong>O<\/strong><strong>R <\/strong><strong>P<\/strong><strong>RIVACY <\/strong><strong>P<\/strong><strong>OL<\/strong><strong>ICY<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Protection of Personal Information<\/h2>\n<p>Assistance League of Long Beach does not copy, reproduce, publish, post, distribute, share or sell, the name, personal contact information or description of donation or donor to any outside individual or business.\u00a0Exceptions shall be those required by law, requested in grant applications or in connection with bank credit or debit card transactions that may be made without prior knowledge or consent of the donor.<\/p>\n<h2>Donor Acknowledgements<\/h2>\n<p>Assistance League of Long Beach does not copy, reproduce, publish, post, distribute, share or sell, the name, personal contact information or description of donation or donor to any outside individual or business.\u00a0Exceptions shall be those required by law, requested in grant applications or in connection with bank credit or debit card transactions that may be made without prior knowledge or consent of the donor.<\/p>\n<h2>Opt-Out Option<\/h2>\n<p>Assistance League of Long Beach will provide, at least annually, a means for both new and continuing donors to inform the charity if they do not want their names acknowledged\u00a0in any of the printed material mentioned above.\u00a0 All donations shall be treated individually so that multiple donations from a single donor shall receive the same consideration as if each were the first donation received.<\/p>\n<p>If a donor chooses to opt out of any acknowledgement listings in printed material, the donor\u2019s name and address will be made available only to members and\/or staff of Assistance League of Long Beach who are responsible for managing the business of the corporation.<\/p>\n<h2>Printed Copy of Donor Privacy Policy<\/h2>\n<p>A printed copy of Assistance League of Long Beach\u2019s Donor Privacy Policy\u00a0will be mailed to a donor upon request and is also available on the corporation\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<h2>Protection of Donation Records<\/h2>\n<p>All records of donations to Assistance League of Long Beach\u00a0shall be maintained by the corporation according to the applicable standards of record retention in effect at the time of the donation.\u00a0 All records will be maintained in a secure location of the chapter.<\/p>\n<h2>Thrift &amp; Vintage Shop<\/h2>\n<p>Assistance League of Long Beach operates Assistance League of Long Beach Thrift &amp; Vintage Shop.\u00a0\u00a0The names of donors contributing to the Thrift &amp; Vintage Shop are never made public without the donor\u2019s written permission.<\/p>\n<h2>Donor&#8217;s Photograph<\/h2>\n<p>A donor\u2019s photograph will not be used at any time or in any chapter publication without the donor\u2019s written consent.\u00a0\u00a0In the case of a minor, written permission will be obtained from the parent\/guardian.<\/p>\n<h2>Chapter Members<\/h2>\n<p>The personal information of a chapter member will not be shared without the written consent of the individual.\u00a0\u00a0Exceptions shall be those set forth in the National Assistance League Donor Privacy Policy, a copy of which is on file with the chapter.\u00a0 Donations received by a chapter member will be afforded the same considerations as stated in this policy.\u00a0 A chapter member will receive a copy of this policy annually.<\/p>\n<h2>Privacy Statement Updates<\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"sub11\">ALLB.org will occasionally update this donor privacy statement<\/span>.\u00a0When we do, we will also revise the &#8220;last updated&#8221; date at the top of the donor privacy policy.
