The services provided through these programs are thoughtfully administered through the collaborative efforts of Assistance League of Montgomery County and community service agencies, schools, churches, and other local organizations.<\/p>\n

Through the efforts of volunteers working in each of the following nine philanthropic programs, Assistance League of Montgomery County reaches out to the community and seizes opportunities to change economically-disadvantaged students in order to\u00a0enhance self-esteem, promote learning, and encourage regular school attendance.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The lives of assault and trauma survivors are made a little more bearable by providing the survivors with new clothing, toiletries, and comfort items while they are receiving care in hospital emergency rooms.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Caring and Sharing strives to reach out with a helping hand to the homeless and the disadvantaged residents of Montgomery County by providing them with basic needs items.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Fans for Friends provides new box fans in the summer and blankets in the winter to disadvantaged seniors and individuals who suffer from the extreme summer heat and the cold winters in Texas.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The clients of various community social service agencies are thrilled when the Pass It On Program provides them with unsold items from the Thrift Shop.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Passport for Good Health provides useful \u201cpassport\u201d booklets for recording immunizations, medical information, and prescription medicines, etc., for children and seniors.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The Poison Information \u2013 Always Ask Program strives to prevent accidental poisoning of preschool and kindergarten scholarship opportunities, barriers to continuing education are removed through Assistance League\u2019s Scholarship Program, and adults of all ages are given the opportunity to obtain a higher quality of life through education.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Tender Loving Care Dolls provides creatively-handcrafted, huggable dolls to counselors who use the dolls as tools to encourage
