{"id":3286,"date":"2019-09-03T09:35:14","date_gmt":"2019-09-03T15:35:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/newport-mesa\/?page_id=3286"},"modified":"2026-01-23T09:29:03","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T17:29:03","slug":"how-to-consign","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/newport-mesa\/thriftshop\/how-to-consign\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Consign"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_cta h2=&#8221;How to Consign&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3 align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">We\u2019re now booking consignment appointments!<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Call and schedule your consignment appointment today.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for high-quality furniture and home decorative accessories for consignment whose style and condition appeal to today\u2019s buyers and are in good to excellent condition.\u00a0 These items exclude anything that needs to be refinished, re-upholstered, or professionally cleaned.<\/p>\n<p>We offer a 50\/50 split on all consignment items.\u00a0 Each batch of consigned items comes into the store for a 75-day period.\u00a0 After 20 days, if an item has not sold, it can be reduced by 20% and if not sold after 75 days, the item can either be picked up or it is donated to Assistance League of Newport-Mesa.\u00a0 Proceeds from your consignment items are paid by the 10<sup>th<\/sup> of the following month in which they are sold.<\/p>\n<p>For furniture, email pictures to <a href=\"mailto:consignment@alnm.org\">consignment@alnm.org<\/a> for review.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sellers Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We need to be sure that your merchandise is saleable. Home decorative items must have a minimum resale value of $25 or higher.\u00a0 Anything of lesser value will be directed to the Thrift Shop.<\/p>\n<p>You will be much more successful if you check your item&#8217;s conditions carefully before you bring them to us. The merchandise must be in good-to-mint condition. Merchandise is required to be clean and in pristine condition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sets of China, Crystal, and Silver<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please check with us before bringing in large sets of china, crystal, or sterling silver.\u00a0 We are looking for unique and desirable patterns.\u00a0 We also want to have space to best display your items.\u00a0 Sets of crystal, china, and sterling silver are considered as one item.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Appointments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Appointments are needed for all your items.\u00a0 We will accept a maximum of 15 of your most unique and saleable items (Please bring in 15 items or less and we will select what our customers will buy).\u00a0 We try to make the process of consigning as simple as possible.\u00a0 Please understand that our customers\u2019 preferences must be our selection guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>We will do our best to safeguard your items, but we are not responsible for damage or loss.[\/vc_cta][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_cta h2=&#8221;How to Consign&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;] We\u2019re now booking consignment appointments!
