Virginia is open to all individuals who are interested in giving back to the community who wish to participate in activities to improve the lives of children in need. \u00a0 Membership is open to all persons regardless of age, color, creed, or ethnic background. \u00a0 Below you will find the types of Membership and associated dues.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Program activities generally take place during weekday working hours, but there are many ways to help from behind the scenes on your schedule in addition to the in-person activities.\u00a0 Prospective members are encouraged to email <\/span><a href=\"mailto:membership@alnv.org\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">membership@alnv.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for additional information on membership, programs and volunteer opportunities to assure a good fit as an active participant.\u00a0 Individuals may also wish to attend a membership meeting prior to Assistance League Activities&#8221;]<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After joining Assistance League, new members will be invited to attend an informal session offering an opportunity to get together with other new members as well as some existing members. \u00a0 Materials will be provided to answer FAQs and provide an orientation to programs, contacts, and volunteer opportunities.\u00a0 New members immediately receive all routine communications about Assistance League activities and upcoming events.\u00a0 <\/span>[\/vc_cta][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>Membership Application<\/h3>\n<p><a the organization\u2019s philanthropic programs and fundraising activities and have the privilege of voting and holding office<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend monthly chapter meetings, generally scheduled on the 4<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Monday of each month from September to June. \u00a0 Most meetings are held in person, but some meetings may be held via Zoom\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Serve on at least one committee<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Voting members pay annual chapter dues as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">New Voting Member $60.00* joining between June 1 and November 30<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">New Voting Member $30.00* joining between December 1 and the end of February<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">New Voting Member $10.00* joining between March 1 and May 31<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Renewing Voting Member $55.00<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">* The new membership fee includes an Assistance League name tag. \u00a0The name tag fee is a ONE-time fee. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Non-voting Members<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Eligible to participate in and support the organization\u2019s philanthropic programs and fundraising activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">May attend monthly chapter meetings<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Eligible to serve on committees but may not serve as a committee chair or as a member of the board<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Non-voting members pay annual chapter dues of
