{"id":5423,"date":"2018-11-16T06:44:05","date_gmt":"2018-11-16T12:44:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/northern-virginia\/?p=5423"},"modified":"2018-11-16T06:44:05","modified_gmt":"2018-11-16T12:44:05","slug":"partnership-of-the-year-award-thank-you-spark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/northern-virginia\/2018\/11\/16\/partnership-of-the-year-award-thank-you-spark\/","title":{"rendered":"Partnership of the year award &#8211; Thank you SPARK"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Assistance League of Northern Virginia\u00a0is one of three selected winners of the 2018 Business Partnership of the Year award from SPARK (Supporting Partnerships &amp; Resources for Kids), which is the Education Foundation of Prince William County Schools.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>To celebrate this honor,three members of the chapter were invited to attend the Superintendent\u2019s Business Breakfast on 23 October. \u00a0Dr. Steven Walts, Superintendent of Schools, spoke to an illustrious group of about 150, including elected officials, representatives from SPARK, the School Board, community business partners, and the SPARK Innovative Grant winners, who propose creative ways to enhance education. \u00a0As part of the program, a video was shown of representatives from each organization describing their services to the community.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We sincerely thank Lynn Barron, VP of Philanthropy, for her stellar presentation. \u00a0The table decorations were art projects from three schools, and performing for our entertainment was the Battlefield High School String ensemble. \u00a0It was a lovely occasion and such a privilege for Assistance League Northern Virginia\u00a0to be\u00a0a recipient of this prestigious award.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assistance League of Northern Virginia\u00a0is one of three selected winners of the 2018 Business Partnership of the Year award from SPARK (Supporting Partnerships &amp; Resources for Kids), which is the Education Foundation of Prince William County Schools.
