The Assistance League of Northern Virginia recently held its final Weekend Food for
\nKids food packing event for the current school year. ALNV members along with
\nDominion Energy – Virginia employees packed 1660 bags of assorted nonperishable
\nfood that were distributed to six elementary schools in Fairfax and Prince William
\ncounties. A seventh school was provided with 70 grocery store gift cards that will be
\nmade available to families needing food assistance. This important ALNV program will
\ncontinue during the three summer months providing grocery store gift cards instead of
\nthe food bags to the families at all seven schools.<\/p>\n

ALNV is extremely grateful for Dominion Energy\u2019s continued partnership in the WFFK
\nprogram throughout the past ten plus years. Their valuable involvement makes it
\npossible for the food bags to be delivered to the schools the same day as the packing
\nevent. In addition, we are thankful for Dominion providing everyone with a pizza lunch
\nfollowing the final packing, and for the generous contributions by their employees to
\nALNVs \u201cGot Sneakers\u201d campaign and toiletries for students campaign.<\/p>\n
