Following the success of our Topgolf outing last year, we have scheduled a new and expanded event.\u00a0 Our second annual\u00a0Swing Fore Our Kids<\/i><\/b>\u00a0fundraiser will be at Topgolf,\u00a0at 20356 Commonwealth Center Dr., Ashburn,\u00a0on Sunday, October 16, from noon to 3 pm.\u00a0\u00a0You can reserve a bay for up to 6 people ($660) or purchase individual tickets ($115).\u00a0\u00a0The ticket price includes 3 hours of golf, a buffet lunch of beef and chicken fajitas, all the trimmings, and non-alcoholic beverages.\u00a0\u00a0Chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole will be available at each bay.\u00a0\u00a0Tickets for beer and wine will also be available ($10).<\/p>\n

In addition, this year\u2019s event features a new challenge for the more serious golfers. We\u2019ll have a \u201cBeat the Pro\u201d competition in which entrants will try to hit the ball farther than the Pro and any other participant ($20 to enter).\u00a0\u00a0We\u2019ll again raffle off five baskets of themed goodies to further enhance your enjoyment (Raffle\u00a0Tickets: $15 each; 3 for $40).<\/p>\n

Also, we are seeking sponsors who will donate $1,000 or more to help reduce the cost of holding this event. In return, sponsors will be thanked on all our media platforms before the event and will also be acknowledged at the event on our sponsor board at Topgolf.\u00a0 For information about being a sponsor, contact:\u00a0ResDev@alnv.org<\/a>.<\/div>\n

The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to provide food, clothing, shoes, books, and reading tutoring to some of the most vulnerable children in our community.\u00a0\u00a0Assistance League of Northern Virginia is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization\u00a0that has\u00a0served elementary school students and\u00a0their families in Fairfax and Prince William Counties\u00a0and the city of Alexandria for 20 years.\u00a0 Information about our chapter can be found on our website:\u00a0\u00a0www.alnv.org<\/a>.\u00a0 You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.<\/p>\n
