{"id":8174,"date":"2023-04-03T13:52:32","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T18:52:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/northern-virginia\/?p=8174"},"modified":"2023-04-03T13:52:32","modified_gmt":"2023-04-03T18:52:32","slug":"the-plot-thickens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.assistanceleague.org\/northern-virginia\/2023\/04\/03\/the-plot-thickens\/","title":{"rendered":"The Plot Thickens!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We can now reveal additional details about our fabulous Literary Luncheon &amp; Fundraiser on Sunday, April 30, at the Springfield Golf &amp; Country Club,\u00a08301 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield.\u00a0 The event will feature two award-winning authors discussing their writings and answering questions from attendees.\u00a0 Judith Pearson has written a fantastic\u00a0spy tale: \u201cThe Wolves at the Door: The True Story of America\u2019s Greatest Female Spy.\u201d\u00a0 Dr. Sean McFate is a foreign policy expert, author, and professor whose books reflect his experiences as an officer in the U.S. Army\u2019s 82nd Airborne Division.\u00a0 His latest thriller is \u201cHigh Treason.\u201d<em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>The lunch starts at noon, but you\u2019ll have time before and after to meet with the authors.<em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Peggy Fox, former TV News Anchor at WUSA and currently Dominion&#8217;s Media Relations Manager, will moderate the authors\u2019 discussion.\u00a0 Copies of the authors\u2019 books will be available for purchase, and you can have them signed by the authors!<\/p>\n<p>If you need more enticement, our live auction items will include some high-end elements you will want, so come prepared to bid!\u00a0\u00a0Daniel Sanders, CEO of Four Sales, Ltd., will serve both as auctioneer and emcee for this event.\u00a0\u00a0We offer travel packages in exotic destinations.\u00a0 One adventure is an\u00a0African Photographic Safari for two by Zulu Nyala, in South Africa. \u00a0Another escapade\u00a0takes you to the tropical paradise of Bali.
