Assistance League of Northern Virginia\u2019s spring luncheon is just three months away and we continue to add elements to make the event even more enticing.\u00a0\u00a0On April 28, we will present A Literary Luncheon and Fundraiser at the Chantilly National Golf and Country Club.\u00a0\u00a0Our featured authors \u2013 Judith Pearson and Christopher Gorham \u2013 will discuss their recent biographies of two women who had a significant impact on mid-century America and beyond.\u00a0\u00a0A fireside chat will follow where guests can ask them questions.\u00a0\u00a0The luncheon program runs from noon to 2:30 pm, and guests can arrive starting at 11 am to register, meet the authors, buy their books and have them signed, and review and bid on the fabulous silent auction items.<\/p>\n
Our live auction opportunities include trips for two to Dublin, Tuscany, and Costa Rica, and the African safari that was so popular at last year\u2019s luncheon.\u00a0\u00a0In addition, we\u2019ll have an array of silent auction items, including certificates for home contractors, weekend getaways, and jewelers.\u00a0\u00a0Our dedicated members are working diligently to ensure this event is even more spectacular than last year\u2019s and continue to find appealing items.<\/p>\n
