for Tees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Assistance League of Northern Virginia has been a chapter of the National Assistance League for 20 years, serving at-risk children with multiple programs.\u00a0\u00a0Over the years we have been able to expand our services to respond to community needs and help a greater number of elementary students at local Title 1 schools.\u00a0\u00a0As we celebrate our 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary, we invite the public to join the celebration by making a purchase from our monthly wish lists to augment our ability to serve even more students.<\/p>\n<p>Our April wish list features the short-sleeve T-shirts that children will need for spring and summer.\u00a0\u00a0Anyone with children knows how quickly they outgrow their clothes.\u00a0\u00a0But most people in an affluent area like Northern Virginia don\u2019t realize how difficult it is for lower-income families to provide new clothes for their children as seasons change.\u00a0\u00a0Keep in mind this lasting thought from Aesop: \u201cNo act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted,\u201d and make a donation to help children in need enjoy
