Assistance League partners with Title 1 elementary schools throughout Northern Virginia to serve low-income children with limited resources.\u00a0 The non-profit helps students at these schools develop a love of reading and sense of pride in owning books of their own through its Build A Child\u2019s Library program.\u00a0 These events give every student in a school the opportunity to choose a book that interests them.<\/p>\n
You can share in the delight these students experience in choosing their books by making your own selections from the wish list that ranges from the ever-popular Pete the Cat and Magic Tree House books to selections from the I Survived series and NASA\u2019s Hidden Figures.
