Part of ALNV\u2019s Literacy for Kids program involves volunteers from Assistance League working with young readers to help strengthen and encourage their reading skills. It may be kindergarteners learning letter sounds and sounding out three-letter words or it might be listening to a 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0or 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0grader read aloud while focusing on comprehension and interpretation. Either way, the lessons are generally student driven and so much fun for the volunteers.
