We recently held a book fair at a local Title 1 elementary school, where 311 students selected a brand-new book on a topic of their choosing.\u00a0\u00a0Nine of our members were on hand to help students find the perfect book, add a stamp to the book stating: \u2018This book belongs to:,\u2019 and help younger students sign their names.\u00a0\u00a0These annual \u201cBuild a Child\u2019s Library\u201d events are as much fun for our members as they are for the students, because we get to share their excitement at finding a special book.\u00a0\u00a0The students thanked us for their new books and many remembered us from previous years.\u00a0\u00a0One group of happy students returned to their classroom with their new books lifted high!<\/p>\n
