Operation School Bell\u00ae supports Children and Families<\/span><\/h5>\n

Assistance League provides underserved children in the Greater Sacramento area with new school clothing each year. Shirts, pants, jackets, underwear, shoes, and socks are distributed to 39 targeted schools. For many children, this may be the first time to get new clothes or shoes.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

15,461<\/b> new and gently used books were distributed in the 2022-23 school year. Every child in grades K-3 in 39 schools in four districts received a book to take home. Many of these children have no pleasure reading books in their homes and have never owned their own books.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

$40 pays for two brand-new diversity books for a school library.<\/span><\/p>\n

$60 buys a student a new winter jacket, hat, gloves, scarf & socks.<\/span><\/p>\n

$150 gives a holiday shopping experience to a homeless student.<\/span><\/p>\n

$375 provides emergency clothing and toiletry items to our homeless students in need.<\/span><\/p>\n

$450 buys headphones or earbuds for 30 students.<\/span><\/p>\n

$750 allows five students to purchase school clothing.<\/p>\n

$1500 pays for hygiene kits for 150 students.<\/span><\/p>\n
