Celebrating Over 36 Years of Service in Saddleback Valley<\/h6>\n

Assistance League\u00ae of Saddleback Valley is part of a national nonprofit that transforms lives and strengthens community through community-based programs.\u00a0 Our chapter empowers its member volunteers to meet the needs of local students, teachers, senior citizens, families,
\nand military \u00a0families at Camp Pendleton.<\/p>\n

Organized in 1988, we now boast more than 200 member volunteers and Assisteens\u00ae, teens grades 7 through 12. Annually, our volunteers contributed 12,600 hours of service to 6,044 individuals through our philanthropic programs and returned to the community over $178,000. By working together, our members and supporters help others in need and make our community a better place to live for all.<\/p>\n

National Strength – Local Focus<\/h6>\n

Our rich history began in the mid-1890’s Anne Banning with her close friend and co-founder began doing local charity work in Los Angeles, California with a group of prominent women. \u00a0Assistance League was the first nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization founded in the West to recognize the potential of volunteers in helping those less fortunate to a better, more meaningful life. \u00a0Today Assitance League chapters have more than 20,000 member volunteers in 120 chapters across the United States. These chapters offer various programs based on the needs identified in each community. \u00a0Assistance League volunteer members have achieved true transformation in their communities and have helped make a better world possible.<\/p>\n
