Operation Camp Pendleton supports low-income United States Marine Corps families stationed at Camp Pendleton by enhancing the social condition of the families and educational experiences of their children. We have developed specific events for military families at Camp Pendleton to show our appreciation for their service and address some of their known needs<\/p>\n

Events:<\/span><\/h4>\n

1. \u00a0 Spring Baskets<\/strong>: In the spring, member volunteers assemble spring baskets for approximately 150 preschoolers at the Armed Services YMCA at Camp Pendleton.<\/p>\n

2. \u00a0Action Week:<\/strong>\u00a0 Our member volunteers provide two new nursery school books to approximately 150 pre-school children enrolled in the Armed \u00a0Services YMCA program at Camp Pendleton.<\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Operation School Bell\u00ae: <\/strong>\u00a0In August, we coordinate with seven Assistance League chapters to provide school clothing and supplies to the children of military families at Camp Pendleton. \u00a0Each chapter has an area of responsibility. We provide leggings and jeans to the girls.<\/p>\n

4. \u00a0Welcome Baskets:<\/strong> Military families newly transferred to Camp Pendleton cannot bring with them certain provisions like cleaning supplies, condiments, and spices. \u00a0This causes a financial burden on the families. \u00a0It is also causing a drain on Camp Pendleton’s food pantry which was set up for families with food insecurity. Our volunteers shop for the needed provisions which fit into three grocery bags. These bags are then gifted to the newly arrived families. Sponsor: \u00a0Stanley W. 5. \u00a0Children Enrichment Centers<\/strong> – Learning toys and activities donated to the camp’s Fisher’s Children Center and an iPad and computer was donated to the camp’s Parent and Child’s Preschool. \u00a0\u00a0 Sponsor: Stanley W. Ekstrom Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6. \u00a0Food Pantry<\/strong> – \u00a0Member volunteers shopped and delivered needed food items to the camp’s Food Pantry. Sponsor: Stanley W. Ekstrom Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
