In addition there are approximately 1,118 school age children in unstable housing such as, living in a shelter, doubling up with family or friends, living on the stgreets, or staying in a motel\/hotel. \"shutterstock_15658711\"<\/p>\n

(2024 Salem-Keizer Website)[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”HOMELESS YOUTH” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23278bff” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1686612110143{border-top-width: 2px !important;}”][vc_column_text]In conjunction with the Salem-Keizer School District we provided new clothing, shoes, laundry access, emergency food and enhanced hygiene kits to homeless children. 655 Homeless Students Served\"\"<\/a><\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”FOOD INSECURITIES-THE GREAT SNACK ATTACK” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]In partnership with Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette, Salem Leadership Foundation and Salem First Church of the Nazarene, we provided 175 Subway vouchers and $25,000 worth of food snacks to 60 school sites in Salem-Keizer Public Schools.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Three schools received grants this year serving 1272 studends.<\/p>\n
